📍 Trip Overview

Our music students will travel to Williamsburg, VA to participate in the Music in the Parks Festival. Students will:

• Perform for professional adjudicators

• Spend the afternoon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

• Attend an on-site awards ceremony

• Travel by charter bus and return late the same evening

⏰ IMPORTANT DEADLINE

🔴 FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2026
A $90 non-refundable deposit is REQUIRED to reserve your student’s spot.
Spots are not secured without payment.

Families may also choose to pay the full amount by this date.

📅 Payment Schedule

• February 6, 2026: $90 non-refundable deposit (required to secure spot)

• March 20, 2026: Final $90 payment

💳 Payments may be made via School Cash Online, or by cash or check payable to Hope Middle School.
⚠️ All payments are non-refundable. Late payments cannot be accepted and will result in cancellation without refund.

🚌 Sample Itinerary (subject to change)

• 6:00 AM – Arrive at Hope Middle School & board buses

• 6:15 AM – Depart for Williamsburg, VA

• Morning – Student performances

• 12:30 PM – Busch Gardens

• 5:00 PM – Awards Ceremony (Royal Palace Theater)

• 8:00 PM – Depart for home

• ~11:00 PM – Return to Hope Middle School

A finalized itinerary will be shared once awards times are confirmed.

⭐ Student Eligibility & Expectations

This trip is a privilege for students who demonstrate:

• Strong musical effort

• Exemplary behavior in and out of the classroom

📌 Students assigned OSS between January 12, 2026 and the trip date will be ineligible to attend and will not receive a refund.

👨‍👩‍👧 Chaperones Needed

We will need multiple chaperones to support this trip.

• Cost: Same as student fee

• Interested adults should complete the chaperone interest form

Hope Middle School Music Department

Our band, chorus and orchestra students will be traveling to Williamsburg, VA for a competition with Music In The Parks Festivals on Saturday, May 2, 2026.  We will be leaving Hope Middle School early Saturday morning by charter bus and will be returning late that evening.  After the competition performance, we will spend the day in Busch Gardens Amusement Park and attend an awards ceremony in the park. 

The cost of the trip is $180.00 and includes transportation, festival adjudicators, admission to Busch Gardens Amusement Park, awards ceremony, and a t-shirt.   The first deposit of $90.00 is due Friday, February 6, 2026.  You must pay the first deposit to secure your spot on the trip.  (You can also pay for your trip in full!)

Payment Schedule

All deposits and payments are non-refundable.  Late payments cannot be accepted and will cause a cancellation without refund. All payments can be paid on School Cash Online or in the form of cash or check payable to Hope Middle School.  You may pay as much as you wish at any time.
